Plant Operations
Operating plant equipment such as engines, turbines, compressors, and heating/ventilating systems; maintaining clean and tidy work areas. Utilize material handling equipment when required and assist other operating personnel as needed.
Performs field tests to synchronize chemical dosages and adjust unit processes as necessary. Collects samples of wastewater, sludge, and gas (odor control digester) on an ongoing basis for testing purposes; monitors process chemical supplies; recommends replenishing as necessary.
Test water for temperature, disinfectant level, and biological growth. Maintain, calibrate, and service testing equipment and keep digital spreadsheet records of monitoring results. Inspect, clean, and disinfect air handlers, RO devices, cooling towers, and other plumbing fixtures as necessary to prevent scale or biological growth.
