Melrose Trading Post is an evolving marketplace collection of artists and vendors featuring various unique arts, vintage and antique wares, fashion, and more. The trading post is in a bustling part of Los Angeles, surrounded by creative culture & trademark California flair. It was founded in 1997 and is part of the community-based nonprofit organization Greenway Arts Alliance.
Not only will you find eclectic treasures, but you’ll also be donating to an organization that returns its profits to the community. Thanks to the Melrose Trading Post, Fairfax High School has gained funds for sports programs, teaching programs, and theatre productions.

Melrose Trading Post is more than just a marketplace; you’ll also find live local music, dance, theatre, and spoken word events year-round. Many of the featured artists are students from Fairfax High School.
Greenway has a membership program gives you free access to their other theatre programs, plus free entry, snacks, and discounts with the trading post vendors. There are both monthly and yearly options so that you can tailor your membership preferences. Whether you become a member or pay as you go, you’ll always get access to all the local goods, foods, art, and more.
Melrose Trading Post operates on a scheduled ticket system, so plan your time and purchase. The trading post is located on the Fairfax High School campus in a busy part of Los Angeles, so limited parking is available.
You’ll find plenty more exciting spots nearby, including restaurants and art galleries. You can plan your whole day for this area’s Los Angeles art experience. Plenty of food trucks are on-site every weekend so that you can enjoy local L.A. eats while you peruse the market.
