Learning Ladder Preschool

Learning Ladder Preschool does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin or ethnic origin when administering its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship/loan programs, or athletic/other school-administered programs.

This program is tailored to meet the physical, social, intellectual, and creative needs of children aged 2 1/2-5 through play. Kids find discoveries and friends through sports.

Play-Based Learning

Play-based learning offers children various cognitive, emotional, physical, and social skills essential for their overall development and academic success. Play-based learning is fun for kids and can help foster a positive outlook toward learning that develops confidence while taking risks and taking on challenges.

Guided play is an innovative learning method that relies on internal motivation to motivate children and allows them to choose their play activities. Teachers provide support and guidance as necessary. Sometimes, this may involve short activities or stories designed to introduce or reinforce a concept; guided play is ideal for teaching writing or social skills.

Cooperation is an integral component of play. Through collaboration during a game, children learn to negotiate resources fairly, share tasks, and resolve conflicts amicably. Cooperative play is an essential social skill for preschoolers, promoting communication and teamwork while building confidence in interacting with others.

At Lamphere Learning Ladder, we understand the value of play-based learning and offer free and guided play options in our indoor and outdoor learning environments. Children naturally enjoy exploring their environment – so we provide plenty of ways to be creative and imaginative during this critical part of their educational journey.

Social Skills

At Learning Ladder, we understand that children thrive when socially and emotionally supported. With low teacher/child ratios and our staff of experienced early educators providing personalized attention for your preschool years.

Your toddler will learn to interact with other children his or her age, form friendships with them, and gain sensory experiences to explore movement through movement exploration. We always make it a top priority to encourage healthy social-emotional and physical play experiences for your toddler.

Dramatic and imaginative play allows your child to explore his or her environment using all five senses while acting out his or her ideas or pretending to be someone else. They will develop imagination and problem-solving skills as they try to find creative solutions to new scenarios or situations.

Learning Ladders was established by a teacher who saw the need for better tracking of student data and keeping parents involved with their children’s learning without adding to teachers’ workload. Their system helps schools keep parents involved by offering teacher-written articles and homework assignment functionality to support home learning; parents can access this through their parent portal and termly or end-of-year reports.

Communication Skills

Learning Ladder Preschool’s staff are attentive to children and work diligently to communicate effectively with parents. They give daily progress reports of each child and monthly and quarterly updates, while they also offer educational activities designed to cater to various learning styles – sensory, auditory, and kinesthetic experiences are just some examples of activities provided at Learning Ladder Preschool.

At Learning Ladder Preschool, children enjoy an engaging learning environment focused on creativity and exploration. The school offers comprehensive daycare and Pre-K programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds, an exciting Summer Camp, not to mention nutritious breakfast and snack options!

With lockdowns and remote learning becoming more prevalent around the globe, two-way communication between teachers and parents has never been more critical. Learning Ladders assists schools by helping accelerate learning, improve well-being, and save teacher time by connecting school teaching with parental support at home.

Learning Ladders stands apart from traditional assessment tracking systems by seamlessly integrating all its functionality – teacher website and parent portal features – into one connected platform. Sharing content easily with parents and automatically populating homework assignments are just two benefits, while teachers can take advantage of a bank of articles to support homework and built-in BBC Bitesize and Oak Academy resource searches to search resources quickly and easily. Studies have proven Learning Ladders increase attainment while simultaneously decreasing workload by automating manual processes teachers need to perform.

Independence

Learning Ladder Children’s Center fosters independence and respect for self and others in a safe, educational environment emphasizing hands-on learning. Children explore their world through art, music, and science activities offered at Learning Ladder; non-sectarian care services available for toddlers, Preschool, and school-age children between 16 months and 12 years are also provided here.

Parental involvement is critical to student success, yet teachers often struggle to engage parents while managing classroom responsibilities. Learning Ladders was founded by a teacher who recognized the need for an efficient solution that combined high-quality assessment with parental engagement while saving teachers’ time.

An authorized adult must accompany students enrolled at Learning Ladder during arrival and dismissal times and present a signed child information card to available staff members on each occasion. Children will only be released into the care of those listed as emergency contacts on their emergency cards.

Learning Ladder Toddler, Preschool, and School-Age programs are open to children living within and beyond the Lamphere Schools’ Community. Staffed by Early Childhood Paraprofessionals under the direction of the Director, children must first be potty trained before enrolling; tuition will be billed monthly during the school year, with vacation days credited at its conclusion.
