Honda Civic Sport Vs Ex 2021

Although named Civic Sport, the 2024 Honda Civic feels more like a mainstream sedan than an active sports vehicle. It features well-weighted steering and an agile chassis, which delivers confident braking performance.

Its 158 horsepower engine and active safety features are typical for its class. However, the EX sedan and Sport Touring hatchback trims offer additional high-end options, including dual-zone automatic climate control and heated front seats with a 60/40 split folding rear seatback.

Seats

The Civic Sport comes standard with cloth seats, but you can upgrade to a more luxurious interior in the EX trim level for enhanced comfort. Plus, its more powerful turbo engine will add some extra zest while still offering improved fuel economy.

The EX is available on Civic sedan, hatchback, and coupe models as well as Odyssey Pilot CR-V Insight and Fit crossovers. It includes automatic on/off LED headlights with 18″ gloss black wheels as well as Honda’s Smart Entry system that lets you open your vehicle by touching its fob to the door handle. In addition, the leather-wrapped steering wheel, shift knob, front seat heating capability, and HondaLink app compatibility round out this vehicle’s features.

Back seats on both body styles provide ample legroom for 6-foot-3 drivers, and the Civic is one of the top compact cars when it comes to offering rear headroom. Furthermore, two child safety seats can fit in its second row thanks to its 40/20/40 split folding rear seatback system.

Honda Sensing, its comprehensive suite of driver assistance technology, can help drivers avoid collisions and maintain safe distances when using cruise control. Forward collision warning, auto emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist come standard on every model in addition to the HondaLink smartphone app that can transform into a remote control for your car. Rearview cameras with mobile hotspot capability come standard for navigation capabilities, including CabinWatch rear seat monitor and advanced RES driver-assistance system (option only available with EX-L Navi/RES models).

Honda’s Touring model offers luxury and tech features for drivers seeking the perfect ride, including heated and power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, 10-speaker Bose audio system with mobile hotspot capability, and Honda’s Smart Entry system that enables crucial fob unlocking via touch sensor unlock. In addition, this model also boasts front/rear parking sensors as well as a blind spot information system with cross-traffic detection, plus unique LED foglights.

Engine

The 2021 Honda Civic Sport is designed to make everyday driving an exhilarating experience, featuring powerful performance, intelligent tech features, and luxurious cabin comforts. This trim level comes equipped with its own set of safety features to keep you safe on the road; plus, its available turbocharged engine helps maximize each commute.

The Civic LX is an ideal option for drivers looking for something simple yet comfortable, yet this trim comes equipped with plenty of comfort and convenience features that will enhance your driving experience. A 7-inch touchscreen handles information duties with access to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration as well as HondaLink connected services, which provides several driver assistance functions.

Switching up to the EX trim level provides numerous desirable upgrades. While its powertrain remains unchanged, this upgrade adds a rear wiper/washer and a 60/40 split-folding back seat that expands cargo holding capacity. Leather seating also comes standard in this trim level, along with its one-touch power moonroof and 17″ alloy wheels for an elegantly refined interior design.

As well as these luxurious touches, the EX gains access to Honda Sensing driver assist technologies – available as options on Sport models – that enhance driver assistance technologies like forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with low speed follow and more.

Touring is the opulence option, offering the best of both Sport and EX. This trim’s standard powertrain – a 180 horsepower 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder paired with a CVT for thrilling driving experiences – gives it its signature personality. An optional manual transmission is also available, but switching back to the no-charge CVT restores all driver-aid features.
